Would anyone have an opinion on using td ameritrade to buy treasury notes vs treasurydirect? I have accounts with both and wondering if one is more reliable/ more streamlined. Obviously treasurydirect is pretty awful so I’m assuming ameritrade. Thanks!

Treasury Notes and Legendary Script NEED to be Increased
This has been a long time problem but especially now. The Nuka World update adds 3 more normal public events that have 3 star legendary drops that are guaranteed as far as I am aware of. Seems like a waste of event rewards if you cannot even redeem them for Legendary Scrip. I have dropped so many Legendary items by the Legendary Exchange at the fairgrounds only to come back later and they are still sitting on the ground along with countless others that other players have dropped. Nobody has the room for these legendary items plus they are all the same every time making the events pretty pointless unless you are going for the plans. As of now I have such a surplus of Legendary Items and Treasury Notes that I have no interest in playing the events other than to get the Daily Challenges.
JEPI for Better Yield on Portion of Excess Business Savings/Cash Reserves (Treasury Management)
Hi all! I guess this is a similar question to those that are thinking of using JEPI as a portion of their personal high yield savings, but for business funds. Our business has excess cash at the moment. We have a high yield savings account with enough operating funds in it for emergencies and operating costs, etc. However I can't help but think about putting other funds not currently being used into JEPI for the dividend/yield and lower volatility. The difference in yield vs the 3.2% our savings account is earning is quite substantial.
I'm thinking one risk would be: market down exactly when money is needed in some sort of emergency situation that we need to dip beyond our emergency savings account (forced to sell shares at a lower price).
Other than that, it seems like a pretty stable way to not have our cash reserves lose buying power to inflation, etc. Am I missing something and/or not factoring in something here? Thanks so much in advance!
West Virginia Congressman Alex Mooney Gold Standard Bill Introduced, Will It Pass? This bill H.R. 9157, if ever enacted into law, would require the Department of the Treasury to define the Federal Reserve note dollar in terms of a fixed weight of gold based on that day's closing market gold price.

Hi folks, I'm aware of I-bonds and similar. I recently saw my broker is selling Treasury Inflation Index Notes/Bonds. E.g., 3 years has a YTW of 2.2%. I'm not clear though how these adjust with CPI/inflation. If the inflation goes down from the current value do the value of these bonds go down, or is it that every year the value of the bonds go up if inflation increases? E.g., with CPI/inflation of 6% will the bonds go up 6% this year? UPDATE: I learned these are treasury inflation protected bonds securities (note - I'm not referring to the VTIP or TIPS ETF). So maybe the question is much simpler now ;). I didn't realize you could buy these inflation bonds directly on the regular market. Thought you have to wait for a distribution from the treasury thanks!

What Is The Catch With Treasury Bills, Notes, And Bonds?
Whenever I'm trying to chase rates on high-yield savings accounts, someone says to invest in Treasury Bills, Notes, and Bonds instead. Apparently they offer higher rates than savings accounts. What is the catch with these? There's no way these wouldn't be more commonplace if there was no catch.
The yield on the 10-year treasury note rose 6 basis points, trading at 3.943% following the market slump and jobs data released last week. Do you think the 10-year treasury note will reach 4% by Oct. 21?

Any thoughts on UTWO (Two Year Treasury Note ETF)?
I'm trying to vet a recommendation I got for where to park a chunk of money (~20k) for an unknown amount of time (months - years?). I was hoping your more market-savvy minds could shed some light on pros/cons that I haven't considered. I am having a hard time finding hot takes on this on my own... The recommendation was for UTWO: " a passively managed, single-bond fund that invests in the most recently issued, “on-the-run,” 2-year US Treasury note." I don't know too much about this whole realm of things, but from what I hear it's got a 4.3% yield, and given how uncertain and dangerous the economy is looking this is a relatively safe bet - and better than keeping the money in a bank account or committing to buying bonds on my own. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Painting artist looking for digital knowledge management tools that handles visual notes well (Images contain visual information but no text. E.g. Screenshots showing thickness variations in line art, different colors used for shadows and their effect on whole painting.) Any suggestions?
Hi everyone, I'm recently learning more to paint and I'm looking for an effective way to manage my study notes that are very image-based. In my case, I am storing a lot of screenshot images showing thickness variations in lineart, different colors used for shadows in drawings, and step progress images showing how my drawing looks like after each shadow layer + showing also what the shadow layer itself looks like. These are very image-based information which cannot be easily stored in words, and I would love to have a tool that manages these notes well. (Maybe something similar to Obsidian or Logseq, but being able to organized / tag / cross-link images similar to text.) I'm basically hoping that:
You can easily embed image within text notes / markdown notes
You can easily tag these images and/or give keywords for future search (e.g. "lineart" "shadow" "digital" "Procreate")
You can later easily search & generate a search page of any certain keywords/tag
Hopefully syncs between Windows PC & iPhone iOS
Logseq can already kind of do this, just looks a bit messy. Hoping to see if anyone knows any other knowledge management tools that could be great for this purpose. Thank you!
